Who repairs my products?
Where can I send the package for repair?
You can send your package from any Matkahuolto package station or service point across the country. There's a map on the basket. When ordering from many of our service providers, you can also opt for drop-off delivery, which saves you postage and allows you to take your product directly to your chosen service provider for repair.
How long does it take for my order to return to me?
Usually 3 to 14 days. The length of the repair process varies depending on your location and the service provider's schedule. Usually, it takes anywhere from a few hours up to a week for the service provider to fix your item.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You may check and track your order from the link that can be found on the purchase confirmation.
Why do I have to pay postage twice?
The package is transported in two directions: first from you to the service provider, and then from the service provider back to you when the job is finished. This means that you will be charged twice for postage.
I don't want to mail my clothes. What should I do?
When ordering from many of our service providers, you can also opt for drop-off delivery, which saves you postage and allows you to take your product directly to your chosen service provider for repair. However, if your chosen service provider does not yet offer this option, you can contact us via chat or info@menddie.com to see if a drop-off delivery can be arranged.
Can I order other repair services than just for textiles?
Yes. Currently, in addition to clothing repairs, maintenance and alterations, you can also order and enquire about shoemaking services and jewellery maintenance and repairs through Menddie. You can browse the services we offer on order page or our price list.

How much does the repair cost?
Service providers are free to set their prices. The price of the work may be influenced by the provider's experience, running costs, and whether the provider is generally well-employed. If you wish to have your clothes posted to a service provider, delivery charges will be added to the price of the work. You can find the prices per job on the order page or in our price list. You can also use the order page to request a quote for your needed service.
How is the price of the repair determined?
The price of the repair is set by the service provider, this includes both labour and materials. If you wish to have your garments posted to the service provider, delivery charges will be added to this.
Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay for your order by card, online bank, invoice, MobilePay, etc. All available payment methods can be found at the bottom of the page. Payment will be charged to the customer before the repair.
How can I know that the person repairing my clothes is professional?
Menddie only accepts professional repairers on board to ensure quality. In addition, we offer a 100-day satisfaction guarantee on all services we sell. In the event of a defective repair, Menddie will carry out a new repair or refund the cost of the service. For more information on this, please see our terms and conditions.
I was not happy with the service. What can I do?
Contact info@menddie.com and together we'll see how we can turn your unpleasant experience into a positive one. For us, customer experience is always paramount and we are always keen to hear about problems and areas for improvement. We offer a 100-day satisfaction guarantee on all repairs. If the repair is incomplete or incorrect, Menddie will perform a new repair or refund the service price.

What if my package gets lost in the mail?
Luckily, there are only a handful of items that get lost in the mail in Finland. However each delivery is insured and if it gets lost, you will be refunded for the services and for the current value of your lost items.
What if the website does not work how it's supposed to?
Please contact info@menddie.com with details of your problem. We will resolve your problem at once. We are developing the platform and releasing new features and bug fixes every week and sometimes something might break down. As you help us resolve these problems, other customers are saved from facing similar problems.
I could not find a repair for my 3-layered special zipper jacket?
You can request a quote for the specific services you need through the "Get an estimate" section on the order page. Using this inquiry, one of our service providers will give you a personalized estimate for the repair. You can accept this offer if you wish or request changes to it. Repair services are highly specialized and varied, which is why it’s only practical to list the most common items. Requesting an estimate does not commit you to anything!
Why should I repair something if I can get a new one for the same price?
The textile industry is one of the largest global problems. Our constant need for inexpensive clothing has resulted in delivering them at the cost of human rights, our nature, and the actual quality of the goods. It has been estimated that 85% of our clothing ends up either as energy waste or in landfills. By purchasing ethical quality clothing and making sure you use them for the full life cycle, you chip in your part in solving these global issues.
When should I repair or not repair a piece of garment?
If a tear or some other problem prohibits you from using an otherwise usable piece of clothing it should be repaired then. The earlier the repair is done, the less visible it will be, and the better it lasts after.
Does the mail services cause Menddie to have a carbon footprint?
Yes, it does. However, if we compare the carbon footprint of 200km logistics of repairing and manufacturing a completely new item, plus the global logistics of around 2000km, sending your item to be repaired is the significantly greener option. We also offer our customers the possibility to take their clothes directly to the service provider for servicing, which also eliminates postage costs.
Does Menddie operate sustainably?
Yes. Sustainability in all forms is an integral part of the foundation of the company. Sustainable thinking extends from packing materials to even our office equipment that we got second hand.
How does Menddie have an impact on society?

I did not receive an order confirmation in my email. What do I do?
Please get in touch with info@menddie.com, and we will resolve the situation as soon as possible. However, if you took down the instructions you received when ordering, you can send your garment for repair right away.
What is the usual delivery time?
3 to 14 days. The length of the repair process varies depending on your location and the service provider's location. Usually, it takes anywhere from a few hours up to a week for the service provider to fix your item.
Often, the longest time is spent on shipping the garment to the service provider and back, so delivery time can be significantly shortened if you choose to deliver it in person when placing the order. As long as you arrange this with the service provider in advance, the repair might even be possible on the spot in urgent cases.
Do I have to pay postage fees?
Delivery charges are included in the price of the order and can be viewed before ordering. If you prefer, you can also take your clothes directly to the service provider's premises, saving you postage costs.
What happens if my clothing breaks down right after the repair?
Contact info@menddie.com and you'll get a new repair free of charge. Our satisfaction guarantee covers many problems up to 100 days after the repair and even longer at our discretion. For more details see our terms of service.
What do I do if my I can't place an order?
Please try using a different payment method. If the issue persists, it might be a system error. Please contact us via chat or at info@menddie.com, and we will resolve the problem.
Can I purchase a gift card?
Yes. We created a gift card generator where you can specify the exact value of the gift card, the message, and the discount code. You can purchase a gift card here or from the link at the bottom of the page.
Can I order multiple repair services at once?
Yes. Make sure that the services you order are from the same service provider. If however, you choose multiple service providers, please note that you will be requested to send separate packages.
Can I choose where I ship my clothes from?
Yes. There are over 2000 access points to choose from. Your package will return to the point that you chose during ordering.
You can also choose drop-off delivery when placing your order, which saves on shipping costs and allows you to take your item directly to the service provider of your choice for repair.
How do I pack my clothes?
A simple plastic bag is often more than enough. If you want to play it safe, you can envelope two bags. You can use a box too. Please remember to write the activation code to the package.
I received an email asking me to pay more. What does this mean?
Service providers may request an additional fee from the customer in certain situations. If the customer has clearly selected the wrong service for their needs by mistake, and the required repair is significantly more expensive to perform, or if the service provider notices additional repairs that are needed during the process, they may offer to address these for an extra fee.
However, any additional fees are always agreed upon in advance with the customer. If this has not been done, or if you believe the requested fee is unjustified, please contact us via chat or at info@menddie.com, and we will resolve the situation to your satisfaction.
